I have only had Zelda for 10 minutes and already I am in love.
Yes, I named my MP3 player. Shout out to dink(y) for suggesting the most excellent name of Zelda. It is a Zen, after all. (Thanks Elizabeth!)
Our relationship did not start out well, I must admit. It went something like this:
Minute 1: Ooh, it's very pretty.
Minute 2: What's all this extra stuff? Adapter. Sync cable that doubles as a charger when I plug it into the computer. Ear buds. Software. (Software?) Lots of paper leaflets and such.
Minute 3: Hey, where's the regular charger I plug into a wall outlet? What do you mean that's 'extra'? I would have ordered it had I known it wasn't included! And how do I connect it to my car's aux system?
Minute 4: Okay, this user's manual sucks. It tells me the name of each control button and what it does, but it doesn't really tell me what it does.
Minute 5: I have to watch a DVD? Crap! Oh, that's what the software is for. Alright. Do-do-do-do-do-do-do. Do-do-do-do-DO-dododododo. Ahhhhh...I see said the blind man.
Minute 6: Rip CDs. Sync to device. Figure out how all the buttons really work. Set shortcuts and get comfortable with the whole setup. Hey, I'm feeling pretty good right now. Dare I say, "in control." Before I start downloading music and audio books from the Internet, what else can this puppy do?
Minute 7: Oh. My. God. It has a built-in microphone with excellent sound quality that will be perfect for interviews on the set of Medium next week.
Minute 8: And I can set up a shortcut to start voice recording at the mere touch of a button!
Minute 9: Angels sing.
Minute 10: I love my Zelda. How did I ever manage without her?
