I'm Ready For My Close-Up, Mr. Demille

Hey! My first post is up at Medium Dreams. Please stop by and leave a comment. It's just a gettin' to know ya' post but it does mean I am official. Since I am feeling all glamorous and important (and the need to take a decent photo for my b5media profile), I offer these tips from Digital Camera University's article 5 Steps To Being More Photogenic:

Step 1: If you are standing, turn slightly and rest your weight on one foot. If you are sitting, angle to one side or the other.

Step 2: Lean slightly toward the camera and tilt your chin down just a bit.

Step 3: Learn how to change your state from looking caught off guard to looking natural and like you are enjoying yourself. The writer suggests the squeezing your butt cheeks together.

Step 4: Learn to ¾ smile.

Step 5: Never look directly at the lens. Always look slightly above the lens.

Click through to the full article for the why's and wherefore's of each step plus a few additional tips. (And to see some chick in a rainbow wig wearing blue eyeliner. Scary.)

And don't forget to stop by Medium Dreams and say 'hi'!
